The pole in question is on the West side of 261, between Brownies Beach and the Randle Cliffs. If you drive by you'll see a pole with a 'box' on the bottom of it, and the next pole to the North has some straw on the ground and truck tracks. That's the one that got hit. At the time the 'box' and transformers were on that pole, which led to more problems getting it replaced.

When I saw the accident (on the way to buy ice to keep the fridge cool) I new immediately it was going to be a 10+ hour thing. This is the second time a pole in this part of 261 was cut in the last year. They are simply too close to the road–literally just a few feet over the edge in some places and folks drive a bit nuts around here on a good day.
