Over 1000 attempts here so far. Hundreds from specific IP addresses. The bot picked out one particular article and continues to attempt comment spam without success. Akismet and the IP blocker stop the traffic but as you said blog visits are all skewed. Rouge sites like this don't pay for the bandwidth - we do. I think their antics amount to theft.
