Christian Intolerance Must Not Get in the Way of Restoring Honor
I knew it was coming. Despite Mr. Glenn Beck’s pleas that all denominations find a way to energize their congregations and work hard to restore faith with the end result being the restoration of our history and our country, the religious fanatics cannot look beyond their own dogma. Beck himself said on his radio show and his TV show that he did not care what people may or may not think of the precepts of his Mormon faith. Why then do we have religious damning Glenn for his views and his efforts toward bringing us together to save our country.
I have been a Presbyterian, a Baptist, an agnostic, and finally a Catholic. I am happy with my faith and my choice. I have Mormon friends, Baptists friends, friends that have no religion. The things that bring us together are our friendship and tolerance of one another.
When I am condemned or ridiculed because of my beliefs, I experience religious intolerance. It angers and frustrates me. This country of ours was built from the ground up by the prayers of many denominations none of whom might accept the self righteous of today yet the fires of intolerance are yet fueled by those that cannot accept or tolerate any belief but their own when our community requires cohesion.
There is no religious benefit to publicly shame another because of what he or she believes. Jesus walked among the least of us, the poor, the poor in spirit. Those of you intent on making sure you put the Mormon in his place should consider re-evaluating your position.
Mr Beck never asked that you become a Mormon. He never placed himself in the role of prophet or savior. Mr Beck is an American patriot. He asks that you personally evaluate whether your personal faith is strong enough to accept the challenge of restoring our country because those who would transform our country have been busy removing God and faith from the public discourse. That’s what you need to get focused on. I could care less what you think about Mormonism and only what you can do with your congregation toward restoring honor and our country. That is a challenge all faiths can pray for and work toward.

And in 1950, a young senator from Wisconsin, Joseph McCarthy, seeking political gain, began a well-publicized campaign using smear tactics, bullying and innuendo to identify and purge communists and “fellow travelers” in government. Herb Block recognized the danger to civil liberties posed by such activities and warned of them in his work.
(Read this Herb Lock article from our own Library of Congress and determine for yourself if it disgusts you as much as it did me. The presentation is as much propaganda as were Lock’s uniformed portrayals of American patriots. It is disturbing, VERY DISTURBING that a U.S. Government agency can actually publish work like this. (Publishing from a historical perspective is one thing, but advocating the view of the left-leaning fringe is quite another.) There WERE communists in our government. Those standing out against the exposures of such individuals were often doing so for political gain of their own or flat out LIED. Tyndall himself, McCarthy’s greatest detractor, is exposed as a liar, political opportunist, and certainly not a patriot as he is in this propaganda at the Library of Congress.
Read Blacklisted by History: The Untold Story of Senator Joe McCarthy and His Fight Against America’s Enemies. This scholarly book is FULL of facts, official documents, arrest information, and a time line of important events that led up to McCarthy’s comparatively small role in what was an on-going effort to rid communists from our government, in particular our own State Department, since the 1930′s. Read how communist sympathizers and members sympathized and supported communist China and the Soviet Union. It frightened me to understand that people in our government worked so hard to further socialist agendas at the expense of all US citizens.
Great deal on Amazon: ‘Blacklisted by History: The Untold Story of Senator Joe M…’ by M. Stanton Evans (Paperback… http://amzn.to/cD9Gtz
When you read this book and then read the contents of the Library of Congress page you find yourself in an incredulous state. How could a writer at the Library of Congress be so vacuous and uninformed? Only if they actually sided with Tyndall, the socialists, and I shudder to think, the communists.)

(We should be very wary, because our property taxes went way up under this governor. My fear is that he could be a Republican progressive who says one thing and does another. SPENDING in Marylanad needs to be brought under control and the BUISSNESS economic environment has to change in order to put people to work. Our state is in trouble. We do not need more of the Democrat control in Annapolis or progressivism in ANY party.)
