I am FURIOUS that the online application for this tax credit has not worked for me since the 11th. The form makes a BIG DEAL about using the state's website (and I have used it before) yet the damned thing cannot match my account to my provided access code. Based on my experience this year and the lack of response from my delegate to an email I sent to her and my unintended lateness dealing with this, I expect to pay more in taxes this year.

Reapplying for this credit should NOT BE A REQUIREMENT. It should be a ONE TIME application. I believe the state has done this in order to obtain additional tax revenue KNOWING that a percentage of people will forget to file this application. They have learned this from experience and have applied it to their distinct financial advantage.

In the last two weeks I have watched a state police car on Highway four travel at well over 55 MPH and tailgating the car in front of him. The car behind him was tailgating as well.

I saw a Sheriff's deputy glide through a stop sign on the road behind the Prince Frederick WaWa while chatting away on his cellular phone.

I have seen two unmarked vehicles that have red and blue lights in the back window traveling at well over 55MPH (I'm guessing at 70) while tailgating. One driver was also on his cell phone.

It does not take long on Maryland's highways to understand why the public drives like they can't be killed. The rest of us are all traveling and acting like the police. While I know the Sheriff believes what he says and demands that his officers meet the standard, my observations are frankly the opposite of what the Sheriff wants.

This applies to the school buses I see gliding through stop signs, the county and state employees exceeding the speed limit or gliding through stop signs.

We have a pandemic of motor vehicle lawlessness in Maryland and the number of examples to follow are few.

I received a call from these crooks late last year. Once I also had an argument with the creep that makes the call and on a fw occasions managed to tie one up for five to ten minutes just baiting him. Let me know how your complaints go.
Doug:
Are you still getting harassed from these creatures? They have been after me since about August '09. Today I had enough when "Chris" told me he was with God when I asked who he was with and that God told him to call me. I filed a complaint online with the FCC and again tonight after the second call from these bozos. The number that shows up on my caller ID is 818-663-9472 and the person who is calling,it says, Do Not Answer. Ok..color me brain dead cause I answered. But through all of this I did get a number from Laura at the FCC for the phone number of the Federal Trade Commission 1-877-382-4357. She said that it would not hurt if I filed a complaint to both the FCC and the Federal Trade Commission. One more call, and tomorrow I call.
Please let me know if you are still getting calls? Thanks!

Comment on Paying for Heating Oil by Doug

This gets better. I had a $241 credit with this company after the March payment. My money earning them interest in their accounts. I finally gave in after an email debate on November 11th and 12th over my understanding of the agreement was getting nowhere. I then sent them the $200 they wanted by online payment.

After I got through some mail that we had not opened for a few days I found that I had been taken off smart pay on November 10th (remember I have a credit there) and put on 15 day terms upon delivery with no statement as to the price per gallon I would have to pay. The company now has $441 of my money in their bank earning interest for them. My December oil delivery is about due.

So, now I'm a deadbeat credit customer while they have $441 of my money after I finally gave in to their terms to get through the Winter. I was just about to send them the December $100 payment they were going to demand.

I can't get the company to answer my questions in writing. They want to talk on the phone. They know if they talk on the phone in Maryland I cannot record them and they can again deny they said anything of the kind just has as they did before. Last year I paid a big chunk up front because a big delivery of oil was coming within a month or so. After each oil payment I even sent a complete check for the full amount of the delivery. Telephone customer service is dead. Capitalism has become despotism.

Large energy companies are no longer in the energy business. It is a financial racket. THAT"S where the money is. Anyone that doesn't play by their rules gets the ole shaftaroonie.

What really infuriates me are the unsigned letters just telling you the way it is.

I discovered that Southern Maryland Oil (the company I deal with is the other large one) does have a pay upon delivery plan at lowest rate. I would not be forced into a smart pay agreement. SMO says there plan earns you credits so your money continues to work for you. So if YOU are in Calvert County and considering heating oil delivery I would give the SMO folks a call. The customer service rep was sharp as as tack, understood my frustration with the other company and had the right answers up front. I amy try SMO instead.

Well the greedy 5643ards's did it again. Another family member $72. SO now Predator's National Criminal Bank has stolen $327 from my family in one month. That's one BGE bill.

This is a crime.

It is time the rest of PNC's victims went public and complained about the service and the radical over draft charges.

It is time businesses stopped borrowing from these vermin.

It is time charities stopped accepting their contributions.

It is time current and former PNC customers complained to GIANT that they won't do business with a grocery store that allows a bank in their stores that treats customers like deadbeats and steals their paychecks

Do not be naive. This behavior is PLANNED in boardrooms. They know how many mistakes people are making to make each year and this revenue stream is planned for and probably needed stay in business.

It is also time for an honest bank to start doing business in Calvert County, St,. Mary's County and Charles County. PNC bank is a fee engine and they are planning to take advantage of you.

Again today I heard fascinating audio of a so-called banking association professional admitting before a Senate committee that yes most of his customers over-drafting a Starbucks coffee over the weekend are not the customers that have trouble managing their money.

But again the Senat committee has MISSED THE POINT. The technology WAS THERE ORIGINALLY PROTECTING CUSTOMERS from the over draft. It was REMOVED so that banks could CHARGE OVERDRAFT FEES.

It is absolutely naive not to believe that number crunchers use statistics of ALL OF THE BANKS CUSTOMERS to plan fee structures, amounts, and the fee amounts they EXPECT to collect based on customer behavior. The banking industry is corrupt.

Many of these same banks were GIVEN taxpayer money to LOAN to small business. Based on what we are hearing in the news it is painfully evident that these same banks have held on to the money probably investing it in more conservative ways. Not only are we paying predators outrageous fees, our government gave them free money they are not using as we intended. Whose in the wrong here?

Why is taking Congress so long to ask the hard questions? My first question WOULD HAVE BEEN, "Tell me why a check card used as as credit card wouldn't have the no-funds available warning at the retailer just like an over limit credit does.? Explain it to me?"

Banks charge 1,6 percent plus or minus to very retailer accepting an ATM VISA card. They also charge you $36 if the card goes over the amount in your account. The bank is NEVER THE LOSER.

The industry is greed based. They no longer provide a service as one might expect. They charge fees for whatever sill concocted service they can dream up. Now we're hearing that banks might be able to prevent over draft charges on ATM cards for a fee! Congress, wake up. The industry is a dishonest fee-mongering giant.

Heather from Account Services is BACK! 10/2809 1150AM Good ole Heather called about "my current credit card account." The same scam our government agencies have been unable to stop despite the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY.

The caller ID now identifies as "Credit Services"
402-982-8721

How many years, how many victims is going to take US law enforcement to put these scammers out of business?

I've lost all confidence in our government's consumer protections given the state of medicate fraud et al.

We will just have to continue to waste the scammers time.

How many years, how many victims is going to take US law enforcement to put these scammers out of business?

I’ve lost all confidence in our government’s consumer protections given the state of medicate fraud et al.

We will just have to continue to waste the scammers time.

It was in my local Giant that a PNC cheerleader tried to get me to use an ATM to deposit a check that I gave her. That also yannked my chain since ATM deposits do not go in your account as quickly as a deposit made in person. I told her if she wasn't going to take my money I would go to my branch. She did it reluctantly. She was the one who happily proclaimed fro YET ANOTHER FEE PNC would be happy to prevent over dafts with my ATM card!!!!!

Banks have become evil marketing and sales outlets with no regard whatsoever for their customers. I am skeptical that Senator Dodd's bill will have any positive effect. There's a well paid bank executive (paid with our overdraft payments) right now scheming ways to make the legislation ineffective. I have no respect for these banks. None.
