The alarm company that visited confirmed the initial installer used a four digit company pass code that was NOT passed on to me. My system can still be used but I have no way of deleting a zone or stopping the nagging missing zone warning. Even though I paid dearly for the hardware the installer walked away with the system functionality and then went conveniently out of business. I'll NEVER own another GE product again.

The first two alarm companies I contacted were long-time local firms. Neither was helpful. One never returned a telephone call and the other wanted me to sign a monitoring contact or get no service.

A little research on my own and with the help of an alarm company that doesn't service GE I found that these NX-6 alarm systems use a programming code and a master code. The Rampart alarm company changed the default program code to something else and did NOT provide it to me upon the sale of the system (some $1600.) Had I know I was not getting the code in the event they went out of business I would have told them to go away.

I'm in a pickle now, having no programming code and no way to program the alarm. This GE alarm was not an investment in home security. Purchasing the hardware myself to avoid an unwanted monitoring contract still failed to get my family its own system. The alarm company owned it and me the entire time simply because they retained (without my knowledge) an installer programming code they had no intention of providing to me.

I suppose I could hope that a former Rampart employee would read this and call me with a code. Wishful thinking.

It's now time to find another EXPENSIVE alarm company to reset this system. If they do agree to this they will most likely refuse to give me the new installer code. I'd bet that they also refuse to even help unless they get a monitoring contract.

This industry needs government over sight. I own $1600 of hardware I can't use unless I pay and pay again for the privilege of owning it.

If the alarm company that is helping me now turns out to be an honest bunch I'll make sure the world knows.

I got a call from Credit Card services again today, not noce, but twice and told them I was busy but interested and asked for a number to call them back when I was free. I have been flooding them with calls all day. Their number is 800-218-8787, Dont forget to dial *67 first to block your number from their caller id. Give them a taste of their own medicine. I cost them money every time their 800 number is called.

Are you serious? I ve had dystonia for 16 yrs. You have to be your own advocate. It sounds like your health care provider wasn't caring and not a good fit for you. That doesn't mean Botox or other medications aren't good or necessary for dystonia patients. Botox has made my life so much better. It reduces the movements and pain in my body. If you can't afford your co pay than contact Allegran and see if they can assist you.

My current Dr. Is wonderful.. He listens and takes time with me. He isn't my first Dr. He is my third Dr. I didn't care for the first two Dr.s approach to my care, so I moved on and finally found an excellent Dr.

You sound bitter, which is understandable, but your letter is ridiculous. At the end of the letter you ask if people enjoy the read and then ask for beer money!! I can barely feed myself and my children, because I am disabled due to dystonia…maybe you should save your beer money for your Botox co pays!!!!!!

That's what I did.

As a customer service professional I am always intrigued by the things companies do to anger their customers and potential customers on purpose. It isn't a question of "so what." If life were that simple no one would care about how anyone is treated or how business is conducted. I'm happy for you that you simple-minded enough not be offended or put off. Why did you bother to comment if it's a non issue for you? Very puzzling.

In the end, the letter from The Scooter Store and the repeated membership applications from AARP sent to my dead father at an address where he never lived, were indeed thrown away.

My lasting impressions of the companies that sent the letters, especially The Scooter Store, are just that – lasting.

Well the frig finally arrived the week AFTER Christmas. We didn't have the benefit of it on Thanksgiving or Christmas. It's the end of January now and the water line isn't installed yet.

The guys from the delivery service were nice enough. Of course they had no idea how to proceed with the plumbing and left me to peel the tape off the fridge and plug it in. Grant you, I didn't have to walk it in from the truck on my back.

Service is just not what it used to be. Reputations no longer matter even though they tell you in the store it does.

Since the Do Not Call reporting as well as the FCC is a JOKE. My States Attorney does not even answer my mail to him, her whatever. What I do is go buy a calling card for two cents a minute. ($10) I keep track of the numbers that call in a log book. When I feel that I have been harassed I call them back, and back and back and back and back sometimes 39 times in a row. I've dont this repeated call back hing three times and it works for me. I also have the anonymous blocking feature on my telephone and if I am just too lazy I put that number on that. *60 The Government isn’t going to help and feel that by their own statement it's just another reporting website (do not Call) where the information is sifted for other reason. Generally the calls are harassing, RUDE, a PHISHING tactic and many times indecent.

There was a program on Public Television Channel 6 in Calvert County, Maryland. The show first aired on July 5, 2010. The program featured myself, Susan A. (nee Thomas) Prentice and Nancy Lynn. The program was about the struggle I have been going through to keep a roof over my head. My husband, Clarence C. Prentice, passed away two years ago this November and I have been having problems paying the mortgage. I am a lifelong resident of Calvert County. I have had Cerebral Palsy and Hydrocephalus since birth. I hold down a full-time job but it still is not enough. Because I have a disability, I am unable to hold down a second job, and I was told to try and rent out a room in my house which did not work out very well. I have asked for help from various churches and charities, but to no avail. Some of the places I have asked for help from are: Catholic Charities, NACA, and my mortgage company, GMAC and Wal~Mart. If I lose the only home I and my daughter have had for the past 15 years there will be three more people homeless in Calvert County as my daughter is expecting in February. I am FURIOUS that the online application for this tax credit has not worked for me since the 11th. The form makes a BIG DEAL about using the state's website (and I have used it before) yet the damned thing cannot match my account to my provided access code. Based on my experience this year and the lack of response from my delegate to an email I sent to her and my unintended lateness dealing with this, I expect to pay more in taxes this year.

Reapplying for this credit should NOT BE A REQUIREMENT. It should be a ONE TIME application. I believe the state has done this in order to obtain additional tax revenue KNOWING that a percentage of people will forget to file this application. They have learned this from experience and have applied it to their distinct financial advantage.
