Spammers
This is a list of companies that have sent me spam. They or their marketing minions signed me up for their junk mail. I never ,ever, ever, signed up to receive their junk mail. Since unsubscribing never seems to work, (and you should NEVER have to unsubscribe from unwanted spam anyway) perhaps just listing the name of the company will embarrass them enough to stop subscribing unsuspecting Internet users to their spamvertising. Legitimate companies request that you opt-in. This list includes persistent senders of email messages demanding a response to their offers or questions regarding their products and services. This INCLUDES the endless requests for link exchanges to link directories no one has ever heard of and to sites that have absolutely NO relationship to the content of my sites. All these people want to do is feed off my own hard-earned rankings at the search engines. Oh and no SEO’s need apply. Everyone is an SEO these days. The service is diluted at best.
I strongly suggest that serious customers avoid these firms:
Company Date of Email Notes
Beliefnet.com 0526/10 Faith based harvester. No thanks. This sleazy “christian” company started sending me spam. When I tried to opt-out using their link it NEVER worked and still doesn’t many days later. When I tried their web site to unsubscribe the unsubscribe screen actually SUBSCRIBED me to ALL of their lists! Now I receive six times the mail from this crummy company. It could NOT be a truly Christian company when operated in this fashion.

I’m bummed that Bravenet is now selling their email lists. I just received spam from eHarmony with a notice that Bravenet gave them the email address. This is new.
Most of these companies have the opt-out message at the bottom of their email. They have obviously purchased harvested email lists since the recipient of this junk (me) never signed up for the messages. Don’t believe the opt-out message. The keeper of the list probably just wants to verify the address is still good.
