Ron Miller: Party Hoppers
(Red County) by Ron Miller 5/26/09 “When U.S. Senator Arlen Specter switched to the Democratic Party earlier this spring, it sent shock waves through the political establishment. The GOP’s ability to influence the debate in the Senate was suddenly in jeopardy, and his defection touched off an argument that continues to rage about the role of moderates in the present and future Republican Party”

Annually, Calvert County government throws taxpayer dollars up in smoke allowing a massive fireworks display at Breezy Point Campground. Tonight the unexpected explosions of rude next-door neighbors remind us of years past and probably years to come.
Why? Why is the county doing this? It’s just dumb. The thrills of a bunch of transient residents are placed above property tax payers next door looking for a little piece and quiet in the homes we pay EXCESSIVE property taxes for. Good grief commissioners, whats next? Perhaps we should bring fireworks to your homes at 9:00 PM some evening on an annual basis? These displays do nothing but encourage illegal use of fireworks.
Question? Are VALUABLE public safety resources tied up with this? Fire, police, EMS? How many county employees are on overtime? How much does this annual up-in-smoke cost us?

ReguarFolksUnited.com – Rom Miller April 6, 2009 – (Excerpt) “If you want to deliberately get yourself agitated, read the comments sections after any political news item or commentary on the Web. I usually hope against hope to gain some insight I didn’t have before, but most comments are rude, ignorant or downright violent. Take as an example the comments I read after the transcript of an interview with Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele. I was reminded of the lyrics of a song: “Some people act like crabs in a bucket, scramblin’ over each other so none of them ever get out.”

When I read Ron’s article I was taken back to my own childhood. My parents and grandparents taught me and my sisters not to be racists. Oddly enough mom and dad were Democrats but I later became a Republican when I realized that the Democrats in power just wanted me to assimilate and keep my mouth shut. Born out of that was political correctness and of late Internet left-wing character assassinations of those the left wants to marginalize. Ron shares his feelings in this piece. He recognizes and understands what the truth is in our country today and I for one would be very proud to call him Senator Ron Miller because he is a man of wisdom and character!

Ron Miller is THE republican candidate that will un-seat tax and spend Mike Miller here in Maryland. I had a chance to see and hear Ron at the Solomon’s Tea Party and was IMPRESSED, In this post at Ron’s website he details the on-going tax and spend antics of Maryland’s Democrats in Annapolis. Take a minute to read this post. Ron is right on the money, pun intended. Ron starts out, ” I participated in my second-ever protest last Sunday when I served as the master of ceremonies for the “Concerned Citizens” Tea Party at Solomons. God gave us a cool, sunny day, great speakers and a crowd Sheriff Evans estimated at between 500-600 people. The homemade signs were excellent and the crowd was anxious to be heard in Annapolis and Washington. The week’s events, however, suggest we’re going to have to turn up the volume because our public “servants” – and I use that term loosely – aren’t listening.”

(Ron Miller – Huntingtown) There’s another thing in life that’s as sure as death and taxes; if politicians find out that people are angry about an issue, they swoop in like superheroes to declare they will save the day. When they do that, I suggest that rather than letting out a cheer, you tug on their capes and ask them, “What exactly are you going to do?”

Part two includes the video of Charles Lollar, Charles County Republican Chair, Charles motivated everyone. A very powerful speech. These are broken up since I had to change batteries mid-movie. The technical aspects are not exactly news quality. The camera was looking into the sun a bit so there are some rainbows appearing due to the light and the lens coatings on the camera. I’m afraid I might have been a bit quick on scene transitions.
