The House of Delegates voted Friday to allow undocumented immigrants who have a Maryland license to continue driving, while the Senate approved a proposal late Monday to end the practice.
The debate comes amid the state’s attempt to comply with “Real ID,” a federal act that, among other security measures, prohibits states from issuing driver’s licenses to people who cannot prove that they are in the U.S. legally.

Ron Miller is THE republican candidate that will un-seat tax and spend Mike Miller here in Maryland. I had a chance to see and hear Ron at the Solomon’s Tea Party and was IMPRESSED, In this post at Ron’s website he details the on-going tax and spend antics of Maryland’s Democrats in Annapolis. Take a minute to read this post. Ron is right on the money, pun intended. Ron starts out, ” I participated in my second-ever protest last Sunday when I served as the master of ceremonies for the “Concerned Citizens” Tea Party at Solomons. God gave us a cool, sunny day, great speakers and a crowd Sheriff Evans estimated at between 500-600 people. The homemade signs were excellent and the crowd was anxious to be heard in Annapolis and Washington. The week’s events, however, suggest we’re going to have to turn up the volume because our public “servants” – and I use that term loosely – aren’t listening.”

SALISBURY — In her final State of the City address, Salisbury Mayor Barrie Parsons Tilghman warned residents of what she sees as a great danger to the city: malicious bloggers.
Tilghman said in her address Thursday that over the last five years, the presence of a small group of suspicious, mean-spirited people focused on the negative…
(Ed note: What? Might be a small town mayor with a small town reaction to anyone taking to an opinion not her own perhaps? Whatever the reason this doesn’t bode well for bloggers. This is an attack on the First Amendment right to free speech. The blogosphere over there is rather intense but maybe, just maybe there is a reason for it. Voters ought to consider the sources and then decide and the Mayor should attend a Constitutional Law class and get back to the business of the people. Read the Salisbury News Blog and then you decide.)

The912Project.com
The 912 Project I watched Glenn Beck tonight on Fox and I was deeply moved. When I tried to visit the new website for The 912 Project it was down or too busy. After I wrote this post over ONE THOUSAND people clicked here apparently thinking my article link was a way to get to the project.
In all my years on the net I have never seen anything like this. Glenn’s impact has been extraordinary. Thousands of people are trying to connect to his domain and it is still showing an error 403 – Forbidden. We will all have to wait and take a more orderly approach to joining Glenn in the project.
What struck me the most was when he looked into the camera and said that it wasn’t the media that mattered. It wasn’t the politician that mattered it was US. The American people.
I really hope that tonight a message was finally received in Washington. A message that we are going to expect that principled people are actually solving our nation’s problems.
God bless America.
As of 0827 this morning Glenn’s site is still down and I don’t see any news about it at FoxNews.com. We can read about the 9 Principles to Believe In. and Glenn’s twelve values.
Links here almost brought my website to its knees because people REALLY wanted to connect with Glenn on this. This is nothing short of phenomenal.
The 9-12 Project.
We surround them.

Apparently in Maryland it was legal, until February 20 of this year, to change lanes without signaling. It all makes sense now. Everyone drives like they are omnipotent NASCAR racers. Even police don’t signal. Well Maryland is finally out of the dark ages realizing what a rolling multi-ton pile of metal can do to the human body–many deaths later. It is now illegal to change lanes without signaling. This should be one more tool in a police officer’s fight against aggressive drivers. Three violations in a row are required for reckless aggressive driving citations and one of those in the state of California has always been failure to signal when changing lanes.
I’m happy that this little over sight was corrected. Now it will, unfortunately, take generations to bring Maryland drivers up to par with the safer states. Are there safer states? Post for another time.
