Ron Miller Signs 9-12 Values and Principles Pledge

ronlogo My favorite candidate for Maryland State Senate, District 27, Prince Georges and Calvert County signed the 9-12 pledge last evening, June 7, 2009. Ron Miller made the announcement on his Twitter feed http://www.twitter.com/teamronmiller

Now I knew having met Ron and after having seen him in action at the Solomons Tea Party that he was the right Miller for me in 2010. I was very glad to see Ron take the time to make a formal pledge. A conservative, a family man, and now a candidate that recognizes the beliefs, values and principles of many potential voters, Ron is ready to serve and govern for the people.

Ron’s announcement read, “I signed the 9/12 Candidate Pledge committing myself to upholding its nine principles and twelve values http://is.gd/SvGQ #TCOT #MDReps.”

Maryland needs new 9-12 candidates to run for public office. I’m solidly behind Ron Miller as the best possible candidate to defeat the Democrat incumbent. Join me in supporting Ron in 2010.

Ron Miller: Party Hoppers

Ron Miller MD Senate 2010(Red County) by Ron Miller 5/26/09 “When U.S. Senator Arlen Specter switched to the  Democratic Party earlier this spring, it sent shock waves through the political establishment. The GOP’s ability to influence the debate in the Senate was suddenly in jeopardy, and his defection touched off an argument that continues to rage about the role of moderates in the present and future Republican Party”

O’Malley’s Blarney is All Baloney

Now that another disastrous Maryland General Assembly session is in the books, Governor Martin O’Malley and his cohorts are fanning across the state to spin wild tales about how they cut so much out of the budget and spared the taxpayers more painful cuts to services or tax increases.

Reflections: While you were sleeping.

ronlogo (Reflections Blog – Ron Miller)  Ron Miller is running for the Maryland State Senate seat held by Mike Miller in District 27 that covers Calvert and Prince George’s County. Ron is very concerned about Maryland’s fiscal and business health. Read what Ron has to say on the topic at his Reflections Blog. An excerpt:

“You’ve heard it here before but it bears repeating: Maryland has the 4th highest tax burden in the nation, is the 5th least friendly to businesses, and has the 6th highest cost of living. Yet our government in Annapolis has no plan or solutions for our state’s long-term fiscal health. Every year, they spend more money despite the economic climate and hope for a rescue.”

Reflections: Maryland’s War Against Prayer

ronlogo (Reflections Blog) In 2010 many folks, including me, hope to see Ron Miller replace Mike Miller in the Maryland State Senate. Ron is an exceptional human being, husband, father, veteran, and member of the Southern Maryland community. Ron shares my concern that government works hard to play down our Judeo-Christian history, values, and faith. In his latest blog article, Ron shares his view on Maryland’s  War Against Prayer:

“An engineer friend of mine had a saying that “one point in time does not a trend make.” When it comes to one issue in the state of Maryland, however, I believe we have enough events, all within the span of a few weeks, to declare a trend; the act of prayer is officially under siege in Maryland.”

Reflections: The Liberal Assault on Vouchers

Reflections Blog – Mike Miller, Huntingtown, MD  (Excerpt) “Never in my comments did I advocate a select few children being rewarded at the expense of others. In fact, I believe I stated the proper response is to expand choice, not limit it. I want every child to have an opportunity. I also want every child to have an opportunity now, not when the public school system gets its act together.

I live in Calvert County where the schools are generally excellent, and Maryland as a state gets high ratings for their public schools. I won’t rest, however, until Prince George’s County and Baltimore City can give their children the best possible education. We should never be satisfied until everyone is lifted up.”

Ron Miller Candidate Head Shot

Candidate Ron Miller responded to a liberal man-of-the-cloth’s personal attack in this post at his Reflections Blog regarding the effectiveness of voucher schools and the education establishment. Ron’s writing on this issue is what I personally expect from a clear-thinking politician interested in the welfare of all children in the state. Marylanders are taxed HEAVILY for education. Over HALF of my VERY HIGH property taxes go to our public schools and the schools, unsatiated, keep coming back for more. Revealed in this post are hitherto unknown statistics, to me anyway, citing the ratio of non-teaching staff to teaching staff in Maryland public schools. Get to know Ron. Read his opinion and should you decide to lend your support vote for him in lieu of Mike Miller in 2010.

Mike Miller to Jesus: Get Lost!

Reflections Blog – I read with more than a little amusement about Senator Mike Miller’s frustration concerning a pastor who had the nerve to close his opening prayer in the Senate chamber on March 25 by invoking the name of Jesus. Herewith the rant that ensued:

“Miller (D-Calvert) asked that Lehman’s remarks not be journalized, that is, saved for posterity. Then, sounding annoyed, he asked the secretary of the Senate, ‘Do we see these things ahead of time? Do we?’”

Ron Miller Candidate Head Shot

Visit the Reflections Blog of candidate Ron Miller ® Huntingtown to learn more about incumbent Mike Miller’s rather revealing derision of our Savior. I for one am tired of hearing my faith blasphemed by politicians who don’t have a higher power other than themselves. Ron Miller respects and will represent everyone regardless of their expression of faith. Ron is someone I respect and trust and I hope you will too come election time in 2010.

Politicians Making Promises – Take Cover!

(Ron Miller – Huntingtown) There’s another thing in life that’s as sure as death and taxes; if politicians find out that people are angry about an issue, they swoop in like superheroes to declare they will save the day. When they do that, I suggest that rather than letting out a cheer, you tug on their capes and ask them, “What exactly are you going to do?”
